For Xfinity Users (Comcast Xfinity)
Method 1: Using the Xfinity App
Open the Xfinity App – Download it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) if you haven’t already.
Log in to Your Account – Use your Xfinity credentials.
Go to “Security” Settings – Find this under the “More” or “Advanced” tab.
Select “Firewall” – You may need to go into “Gateway & Network Settings.”
Adjust the Firewall Level – Choose “Low” or disable it entirely.
Allow Specific Applications – If disabling is not an option, look for an option to “Allow” or “Whitelist” apps.
Save Changes and Exit.
Restart Your Modem/Router – Perform a hard reboot by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
For Spectrum Users
Method 1: From the My Spectrum App (mobile):
Open the My Spectrum app.
Tap the Services tab at the bottom.
Select Internet.
Choose your router or gateway device.
Look for Security Shield / Advanced Security (sometimes called Spectrum Security Shield).
Toggle it Off.
Method 2: From the Spectrum Web Portal (browser):
Go to Spectrum.net and log in.
Go to Services > Internet.
Select your modem/router.
Disable Security Shield.
Fixing Firewall Issues for AT&T Users
Method 1: Using the AT&T Manager App
Download the AT&T Smart Home Manager app on your phone (from the App Store or Google Play).
Open the app and log in with your AT&T account info.
Now, open your TV King app on your TV or device and try to log in.
👉 You’ll see a popup notification on your phone.
On your phone, tap the notification and hit “Allow” to approve the connection.
Go back to the TV King app on your TV and log in again.
✅ It should now work!
Method 2: Using the AT&T Router Web Portal (For Advanced Users)
Open a Web Browser and Access the AT&T Router Admin Page
Type http://192.168.1.254 into the browser’s address bar.
Log in to the Router
The default access code is usually printed on the router label.
Go to “Firewall” > “Advanced Settings.”
Turn Off or Adjust the Firewall:
Set it to Low or disable it.
Save Changes and Restart the Router.
Final Step: Confirm Connectivity
After applying these changes, check if TV King App is working. If issues persist, try enabling Port Forwarding or contacting your ISP’s customer support for additional help.
For T-Mobile Users
Disable via T-Mobile App (Mobile Devices)
Open the T-Mobile app on your phone.
Go to "Account" or "Profile".
Select "Line Settings" or choose your specific line.
Tap on "Content Blocking" or "Internet Security".
Toggle OFF Internet Security or Web Guard.
Confirm any prompts.
✅ 2. Disable via My T-Mobile (Website)
Go to https://my.t-mobile.com and log in.
Choose your line (if you have multiple).
Go to Profile > Family Controls > Web Guard (or similar).
Set Web Guard to “No restrictions” or disable security settings.
Save changes.
✅ 3. For T-Mobile Home Internet (via App)
If you use T-Mobile 5G Home Internet:
Open the T-Mobile Home Internet app.
Tap Network > Content Filtering.
Disable or adjust Parental Controls, Content Filters, or Security options.
✅ 4. Disable Scam Shield (If Active)
If Internet Security is bundled with Scam Shield Premium:
Open the Scam Shield app.
Tap on Settings.
Disable Advanced Scam Blocking or Security features.
🔄 Changes May Take a Few Minutes
Restart your device or disconnect/reconnect to the network if changes don't apply immediately.
